What UofM says about states
UofM states plainly that its nursing college cannot offer distance education in California. Beyond that its own documents differ: one college page lists 16 authorized states, while UofM's licensure disclosures answer yes for most others.

Can Californians enroll in UofM's online MSN?
Not at present. California is the one state UofM's nursing college names as off limits for its online programs, and anyone who relocates there mid-program has to complete it elsewhere or step away.
Do I need a Tennessee RN license?
Not necessarily. A Tennessee license works, and so does RN licensure in the approved state where your practicum takes place. See the license guide.
